Prayer Requests

I have yet to shed many tears but I know that I will. I feel them welling up in my heart even now. It may be because of sorrow, fear or stress; more likely a combination of it all. Your prayers are needed and appreciated. Here are a few specific requests for our family:

  1. Faithfulness to prayer and bible study during this very busy season
  2. Physical strength and health for the task
  3. Wisdom to know what to pack and what to leave behind – we still have no idea of where we are going
  4. Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance with others while we are under stress
  5. Good weather on March 5th while we are loading the container
  6. Time for fellowship with friends that we may never see again
  7. That the enemy will be bound and not allowed to intrude in our lives to hinder us with difficulties such as the inevitable red tape one deals with in foreign countries or officials seeking bribes
  8. A good home for my daughter’s sweet cat that we must leave behind
  9. Our van to be sold along with a few other miscellaneous items

Karen -

I pray that Lord would guide and direct your family at this time. I pray that He give you strength for all the tasks ahead. I pray for mercy and grace as you decide what to do and where to go. I pray for those you love and will leave behind that He put them in your path again.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and sorry you couldn't comment. Typepad is "having issues" and is going off-line for maintainence Sunday nite. I love your new blog; I changed the link in my blogroll. I will certainly keep praying for you guys and for a great home for your darling cat. I know the transition is difficult, but I believe big and exciting things are in store for you! Hang in there, girl!

P.S. I just stopped by the Thursday Thirteen hub and read that Leanne sold the TT. It'll probably be business as usual this week or next!

Moving can be so stressful! Moving all my life while I was growing up, I had hoped to marry someone whom I could settle down with and that has now come true, but not until after we had moved 14 times! lol

I will pray for peace as you set off for your next home. We love being closer to family, perhaps you will be blessed to be closer to loved ones, as well. Nice to meet you! :)

Hi, Karen!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. It was wonderful to hear from you. When I switched to my new blog, and all the changes at hsb happened, I signed up for bloglines and wasn't able to get your account set up there (guess your RSS wasn't on or whatever). Because of that, I didn't realize that you had moved your blog.
If I ever figure out how, I want to add a list of "other" friends to my sidebar (non hsb friends) and will love to include you! It takes me awhile to figure these things out though!
I'm surprised to read that you are leaving Romania~ I will be praying for you throughout this transition for your family. Do you know where you are headed next?
Miss you!
Heidi

Karen,
I have made a copy of your prayer list and will be praying daily for you and yours.

As Mr. Roger's said, "Won't you be my neighbor?". When you look out your plane window, you will know when you're over MN, we are the snow white state. lol I would love to have you here, but I'm sure MN is not one of your top ten picks.

Hugs, Prays & Love, Jane

Karen,
I am praying God will delight your heart as He shows you His faithfulness through this trying time. I truly believe as we go through hard times we are better able to see and understand God's love and faithfulness.
Keep your eyes fixed upon Him!
Love,
Karen

Oh Karen, I've popped in and out of your blog recently, but haven't had time to sit and *read* and I just now realized that you're moving! Praying for you as you walk in faith. May you rejoice, more than anything else, in knowing that you walk with the Lord and that He can be trusted. Even if it's scary and uncomfortable, that's a great place to be!
