Like Gabriel, we are all having to adjust to life in the States. Gabe is choleric like his dad and melancholy like me. It’s a tough combination but we usually know what he is thinking. Holly is our sanguine child. She walks into a room full of strangers and seeks out a friend. In Romania, she played outside on the street every chance she had which was daily if the weather allowed. Friends were abundant. Twenty- first century American culture has her frustrated; not being settled aggravates her frustration. She wants to invite someone over every single day and the few people we know have strenuous schedules. Hannah wants to shop at every available opportunity. Not that she has much to spend but in Romania there wasn’t much to buy. Most everything there was usually out of our budget and sized for super models. John has been busy with a multitude of details involved in moving and ministry. And as for me, besides trying to hold the fort together, I am just trying to figure out where things are located at the grocery store.
Tomorrow we are going to visit friends in South Carolina for a few days. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Will certainly be praying. May the Lord give you traveling mercies and bless your time with friends.
Praying for your family as you adjust. I can understand your daughter wanting friends over...my poor DH has had visions of this for our children...the neighborhood kids gathering in our yard to play, swing on the tree swing, etc., but it has never ever happened. Everyone is so busy..parents work till 6:00, then dinner and homework. Whatever happened to those days here in the US. Have a safe trip to SC.
Have a great visit..praying all will settle for your family soon.
Wow, when I learned that you were moving back the US I thought it would be a big change but I don't think I really took into account how LARGE a change that would be for your family after 10 years in Romania. I will be keeping you in my daily thoughts and prayers as your family transitions into a new/old culture and settles into their new surroundings.
Hugs,

I will continue to pray for your family as you adjust. Have a nice time.
Karen,
My concerns over moving to another state pale in comparison to moving from across the world. Your faithfulness to the Lord's work in your life is an inspiration. I am looking forward to reading about what the Lord leads you to on the "need to know basis"!
Praying you have a blessed time with your friends.
When I was a kid we moved back to the states but almost instantly went on a big campout with extended family. Afterward, while visiting even more family my mom had went to the bathroom to check on the youngest kids because they were taking so long and heard, "Is this the kind you flush?" as she looked in and saw them looking at the toilet.
Adjustments can be hard and sometimes funny. We are praying for you all.
Keeping you all in thought and prayer Dear One. Hope you are enjoying your visits in South Carolina. Blessings! Becky
I most definitely will keep you all in my prayers. When I feel anxious thinking about my own worries about the future I will think about you all and pray for you. Blessings. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/abiga51
