I love parties.
I love blogging.
So what could be better than The Ultimate Blog Party?
It begins today!
Head on over to
5 Minutes for Mom and sign up.
There are a bunch of people there already.
I am Karen. My family and I are missionaries to Romania. Well, for now we are. We are actually in the process of packing up and going back to the states. We do not even know where! Maybe right next door to you! We have been here in Constanta, which is right on the Black Sea Coast, for five years. I have never lived anywhere for five years in a row unless you count the first six years of my life.
Here is my family.
John and I will be celebrating 20 years of marriage in just a few weeks.
My son Gabriel will be 16 (gulp!) in March.
Hannah is 14 and Holly will be 9 in April.

I will share some more pictures later – boxes, moving, loading the container and the sunshiny day the Lord is going to bless us with on Monday.
I will also tell you bits and pieces of our life here in
Romania.

Terrific family photo. And what a great opportunity for your family to live and work in another country. I so enjoyed my upbringing as an Air Force Brat.
Thanks for visiting my party! I remember that "gulp" when my oldest turned 16 -- time with kids goes so fast! Happy moving! I wish you as few headaches as possible!
I don't think you sang on the Grand Ol Opry!
Have a great day packing up!
God Bless,
Love
Dad
your family is in our prayers regarding your move back to the states. We lived in Germany for 4 yrs ( my dad was in the Army) when I was growing up, it was hard moving back to NC.
I don't think you sung at the Opry either, Please do tell us.
take care,
Kelly Kerley
Karen:
What a wonderful photo of your family. I'll be thinking about you all as you voyage home.

Wow, I didn't picture your two oldest to be as old or as tall as they are. I guess I have only seen pictures of them when they first came to Romania - they do grow up don't they.
Well, if your dad says he doesn't think you sang at the Grand Ole Opry, that's good enough for me - I'm with him.
You do have a very lovely family.
Congratulations for the 20 years of marriage. God has truly blessed you with so much. Good Luck on your move, and thanks for stopping by party! I'll be back to check and see where in the states you move back too!
Have a great weekend!

I am so excited to find your blog via the party. I LOVE Romania. Our mission heart is in Romania. Two and half years ago, my husband, my 2 year old and I had a wonderful week ministering with a church near Hateg. Now that our youngest is 2 we are hoping to return again. I'll be back for more visits.
Hello and thank you for coming to my party :) I will answer your question on Friday, along with any others I get.

It is so nice to meet you, Karen! What stories you have to tell living in Romania. God bless you on your journey back to the states - what a transition that will be!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is quite an adjustment back to the USA from Europe -- probably even more so from eastern Europe. I lived in Ireland for a few years with the possibility of it being permanent, so I immersed myself in the culture as much as possible. Now I find myself feeling like an alien in my "home" country of USA! The Lord has been good in the adjustment.
Wow, very nice to meet you! I am enjoying the party so far. Be blessed!
Thank you for stopping by both The Porch Light and Little Fun; Little Learning. Wow! So you guys have been missionaries to Romania! Are you excited to be coming home? Enjoy the party; I know I am.
Thanks for the party invite. Y'all have a safe trip home!
Thanks for your comment on my blog! This is a very fun and interesting way to meet people, I must say. Very creative!
How long have y'all been in Romania? Sounds like you have a big life change coming up! =D It's exciting.......and a challenge, I am sure!
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for coming to my party all the way from Romania! God be with you and your family as you move back to the states. Nice to meet you.
Bless you for what you are doing in Romania. How wonderful!
I can't imagine moving as much as you do! Congrats on 20 years of marriage.
Have a great weekend!
HI, I am getting a late start on the partying and with over 544 invites, it was overwhelming! I chose your invite because it was 46 (my age)! LOL. Enjoyed the visit! My youngest is almost 16 and it is a great big YEAH!!
What a great party!! My husband has been on two mission trips (short term) to Romania. The last one he brought one of our sons. What a blessing.
We are celebrating 20 years of marriage this summer. I hope you'll stop by and meet my family too.
Who knows? Maybe we'll be neighbors someday???? :-) Blessings to you all as you take the next step on your journey!!
:-) Susan
Wow - I've only moved 3 times in my life and it really stressed me out! I'm amazed that you have moved around so much! :) You have a beautiful family and a very nice blog. Hope all goes well with your move back to the States!
Hey, Karen! Thanks for stopping by my party. I hope you and your family have a smooth move back to the States -- if you still haven't found a place to move yet, come on to Memphis. ;)
Let me go change clothes and I'll get busy helping you pack. I'm pretty good with boxes of books. ;)
I hope I helped pack a bit.
I'm looking forward to coming back and reading more of your blog. My husband's family are Transylvanian Saxons and I have a very dear friend from Timisoara, so I'm very interested to hear about your life in Romania.
