A Need to Know Basis

I was just reading through my recent blog entries and realized that I have not written much about what is going on in our daily life. The main reason for that is there is not much going on. I have done some school with the children and getting a feel for routine has been nice, even if we haven’t done what would be considered a full day of school. The kids have all had a friend over this weekend; a time for renewing relationships. John and I have been talking about where we think the Lord may be leading us. Right now, we do not know. I am in some ways a bit impatient and want the Lord to show us now. I have learned over the years that His time table is not ours and His timing is always best. My mom had a small group meeting here at her house tonight and we had my favorite – Mexican food. One of the ladies asked another lady a question and the answer was, “I just don’t know. It’s like I’m in one of those spy movies where they tell you, ‘You’re on a need to know basis and right now, you don’t need to know.’” Well, that about sums up our present situation. When we need to know, God will tell us.

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. 2 Sam 22:31

I love this - what a great way to put it. And spies aren't told things for their own protection - isn't THAT just like God? Awesome analogy.

Yep. I've been there. I am there in some ways. Hang in there and enjoy what you do know! (Being with family - a familiar culture, etc)

Blessings.

I have experienced your current situation. As you rest in God, I pray that you will receive the desires of your heart.
Blessings.

This is such a cool way of thinking about our time vs His timing. Thanks for sharing!
