Waiting
Have you ever been on the road, driving to a destination and you weren’t exactly sure you were taking the right path? You just keep driving, hoping to see a familiar landmark or some confirmation telling you that you are heading in the right direction. And all the while, there is that anxious feeling- waiting, hoping, trying not to panic or needlessly turn around and go the other way. That is about the way my heart has felt the last few days. Waiting for answers. Checking the mailbox to find out if Gabe’s artwork has been accepted in the show. Waiting for John to call and tell me something, anything about the church in
This evening, I am waiting for John to get home. I am sure he will have much to share about his weekend.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psalm 25;5
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Waiting alongside you... in some ways.
I too am waiting for different things. It's hard at times though. You know all of God's promises, You know He'll work it out in the end.. but the waiting part.. aghh.
LOL. I'll be praying for you.. you pray for me.
in Christ,
Mikki
I have never seen your blog before and stumbled across it tonight. I was blessed. It was what I needed to read. The scriptures pierced my heart. My husband lost his job last week and I have been stressing out in a major way. Thank you for the post and I hope that you hear your answers soon.
I'm excited to hear what God has in store for your family.
Isn't it great to be able to turn to God's word for comfort and peace. I find that I sometimes have to do it again and again throughout a day when I am in a situation such as yours.
Oh Karen -
thank you for sharing.
I know the place that you are in -
I am having such a hard time holding on to the Lord right now - having a bit of a spiraling feeling.
The scriptures you shared blessed me.
Thank you.
Just checking in to see how Sunday went. Still saying prayers here; hang in there!

The waiting is hard, but the result is always perfect, isn't it? Praying He'll hold you close during the wait.
That's a good word picture! I'll be praying for you as you wait!
