All Packed!
All packed up and ready to go! We will leave early tomorrow morning and hopefully arrive at our destination in time for dinner. Our plan is to move in on Tuesday. The forecast is calling for extreme heat. Extremes seem to be the theme of my life, so why not? We have plenty of water packed for the occasion.
I do not know when we will have internet access. Gabe and I decided that it takes priority over buying a washer and dryer because we need the internet to order a set. LOL! Anyway, I am declaring this week "De-lurking Week". I know that I have people reading my blog but not commenting. Wouldn't it be a nice surprise to find a bunch of comments when we finally get hooked up?! Just say hello, leave your favorite verse, quote, joke or whatever you feel like saying (as long as it's nice please!!!)
Next post will be from our new home!!!! When was the last time you moved?

So happy that everything worked out and your big move is now upon you. The last time we moved was 5 yrs ago from a rental to our house and before that a year - from WV to WA state.
Exciting times! I've been praying for y'all, Karen, and will continue to do so - especially today as you are traveling.
Please do be careful in this heat.
I haven't moved in 18 years, though I've moved two boys out - first to college and then to marriage!
Love,
Patricia
Have a safe move Karen! We're all in upstate NY visiting family this week. Steve heads back to Romania on the 1st and Maria and I will spend another 2 weeks in SC then head back for the last stay in Romania. We should all be stateside for good in September.
Our last move was 8 years ago from South Carolina to Sweet Home Alabama!
Be safe!
I don't lurk! Generally I comment - but I wanted to stop and say "Hi!" anyway.
This is not my favorite verse - but it has me thinking of you this week ...
I thank my God every time I remember you. Philippians 1:3
Praying for your safe trip, and God's blessing as you make a new home for your family.
I moved May 06 to Texas and then in Sept 06 from one town in TX to another! I'm not anxious to ever do that again! But then, you already knew that!
Well, I hope all went well, as you will probably be reading this after the fact... Can you imagine doing this without knowing the Lord? "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future" Jer 29:11 (that was from memory, so forgive any mistakes!)
Have a great move! We moved from Northern Virginia to central Alabama 18 months ago - that was our most recent move, and (prayerfully) our last move! I'm looking forward to hearing how it went after you get unpacked and settled.
Have fun and be safe. Will be praying for you! God bless!Looking forward to pictures of your new place.. maybe..
Welcome to Virginia!
I think I found your blog through the Spring Reading Wrap Up. I was intrigued because you were missionaries and also because you're moving to VA.
The last time I moved was in 2000. My husband and I moved from our first apartment to our first house. It was a quick move - we hadn't acquired much yet (read that to say "obviously, no kids yet" : ) - and it was only about 5 miles from one place to the other.
Glad the frip has gone so well. We are praying for good weather tomorrow and for someone to be there to help you unload the truck.
Yeah - I'm first! And yes, I am a first born.
I've been praying for you all weekend. I know from very RECENT experience the stress and exhaustion of moving. Praying things go smoothly for you and your are back on-line in no time. Of course that is more important than laundry!
Hugs,
Angela
P.S. One of my favorite verses - James 1:5 (since you're moving I won't make you look it up!) If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask." That would be me on a daily basis.
Karen~
Goodness~ gracious!
I miss a week or two at your blog and come over here to find out that you are moving! Wow!
Hope your move is successful and you can get all settled in without too much stress.
Where will you be in VA?
Heidi
I though I would stop by and say hello. I'm looking forward to getting Internet soon.
We've been able to access at the public library, in our new temporary housing. The library has plenty of computers.
Good thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Hooray! I bet you're glad to have all it all packed up to go : ) Hope that the extreme heat isn't as extreme as forecasted. Keeping you in our prayers that you will have a safe trip.
Blessings,
Rosina
Hope your moving goes well and you get all settled in soon. We just moved last year, so we still have recent nightmares... er, I mean, fond memories of it. :-)
Well, I'm not a lurker! :) I am praying for you as you unpack and move in and for God's continued leading. I'm curious to know what part of Virginia you're settling in. I'm also excited to hear where and what kind of ministry you'll be doing.
Yay!!!! Your new home.
Joke: why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9! HA HA HA! Ok it wasn't that funny, but you said leave a comment:D
God Bless,
Amber
Just checkin' on you! Hope all is well.
