A Difficult Decision

This has been a year of difficult decisions and today another one was made. Like the others, leaving Romania and moving to Virginia, it was not done without a lot of prayer. In order to make ends meet, I am going to have to go back to work for the first time in 17 years. I turned in my application for substitute teaching and I am hoping to work two or three days a week beginning this fall. I will continue to homeschool Gabriel and Hannah who are able to do much of their work independently. Holly will be going to public school. This makes me about 12 different kinds of nervous. It’s temporary. Hopefully just for this school year. My gregarious little nine year old is beside herself with joy. We shall see just how long her enthusiasm lasts with the early bedtimes, early morning routine and the inevitable homework.

Karen I understand what a difficult decision this must have been for you. you've given Holly such a great foundation that I'm sure she will do just fine, although I too am wondering how she'll feel about the early mornings!!
Macy will be in public school this September as well while the boys will still be at home, so we can share stories.

Karen I agree with Kathleen. God wouldn't lead you down a path for your family's harm (not that you were doubting that, I just know how the enemy can work sometimes).
Don't agonize, just trust with that childlike faith that He wants us to have.
She'll probably have a great year and both of you will have the opportunity to make some new friends. ((Hugs))

I understand difficult decisions like that don't come easy. I pray that public school will be a positive experince for your daughter and that your working will be a blessing to you and the students you encounter.

(((HUGS))) and prayers for you as you walk this path. I guess this is why it's called walking by faith...some things just don't seem to make sense, but we keep trusting.
This is a scripture that has really ministered to my honey and I recently...I hope it encourages you as well:
"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:25-26
Holding you and your family up in our prayers.

Sending cyber hugs and prayers your way!

God's protection is over your whole family, not matter where you or they are.

God bless!

I'm sure this was a difficult decision for your family. The Lord will bless and keep each of you as you journey into new and unfamiliar territory. Hey, you're use to that aren't you? ;o)
