Thursday Thirteen Edition #45

Thanks to Karen at Write from Karen for the banner
I feel like the last few posts have been a bit negative. But I am more of a person who tends to think of the glass as being half full. I like to focus on the positive. This apartment may be smaller than what we are used to but there are many good things to be thankful for.
- We live on the second floor which makes me feel more secure.
- We do not live on the third or fourth floor. Can you imagine carrying in groceries?
- The linoleum is brand new. They finished installing it literally minutes before we began moving things in.
- The oven is big.
- There is a dishwasher.
- There are two bathrooms.
- One is in the master bedroom.
- We have a walk-in closet in our bedroom. It’s the largest closet we have ever had.
- My dining room table, which seats 6-8 people, fits in the dining area.
- We have a pool.
- We have a balcony where we can keep our bicycles and pool toys.
- The kitchen is small which makes it easy to clean.
- I have 4 drawers in the kitchen which is 4 more than I had in Romania.

Some day I want a large kitchen. There just isn't any place to put things in a small kitchen. Happy TT.
Yay for #5! It seems like such a little thing until you've had to make do without one (BTDT!)
Sounds like its not so bad then :-)
The pool sounds like a bonus .. :) Best wishes settling in, and happy TT!
Your place sounds cozy - and I would do ANYTHING for a walk-in closet!!! Small kitchen isn't too bad as far as cleaning goes, you're right on that one. And, *egad!* only four drawers??? Sheesh!
Happy Thursday!
Ahh the fun of adjusting to a new house. One thing I'll want to make sure I have when I move out of home is a dish washer. There's no way that I'm washing all those dishes every day...
Congrat and best of luck settling in to your "new diggs". Now, when can I come over and swim?:)
Thanks for sharing.
Happy TT!
Karen,
Gave you a "Thinking Blog Award" at my site.

Have blessed day,

Hi ya, Karen! You ARE one of the most positive people I know, and this list just proves it. Isn't 2 bathrooms grand? Have a terrific Thursday and spend some time in that pool!
:)
My kitchen only has four drawers too, and I'd almost be willing to give them up for a dishwasher. And I'd love to have a pool!
Happy TT. :-)
The pool gets my vote immediately!
Yes, there are so many things to be thankful for, Karen :) And 2 bathrooms? That sounds like heaven to me (got 4 siblings hehe)...
Happy TT!
P.S. I love your header!
Sometimes it's great to focus on the positive. I try to do that as much as possible!
Happy TT!
We can't be Suzie Sunshine all the time!
I am a half-full person too - but when I get down - it is down!
The best thing I remember about apartment living is that when something goes wrong, you call the building owner or manager!!! Now as a homeowner, I have to get it fixed and pay for it. And as a landlord, I'm the one who gets the call (and has to pay for it) when something goes wrong!
I do remember that it seemed like the people above me were doing clog dancing at 2 a.m.
I lived for years on the fourth floor of a no elevator building. Just to make it more fun, it had a spiral staircase. And let me tell you, I dreaded grocery and laundry day! So good for you. And I'd kill for new linoleum. Enjoy your new place!
I love how you looked on all the great positives.
Sounds like a nice place :)
I miss having a basement - no place to put the stuff but it's making me cut back which is for the best
Love your positive attitude!
Sounds like a good apartment! We lived in Germany for four years- I really appreciate 'American' things like dishwashers and garbage disposals now! Great T13!
What a great list.
My family of 6 has lived in a 900 square foot apartment before and it was no fun!
Happy TT!
Way to look at the bright side! We used to live on the 4th floor, and I had to carry and drag 3 kid and groceries up the stairs while pregnant. I hated it, but man was I glad to have a second bathroom and a laundry room!
Great positive TT, Karen! Thanks also for visiting and commenting on my blog.
Having a pool is cool. I'd like to have one here.
Those are good gifts... thanks for counting the blessings out loud! (And for popping by Bloggin' Outloud :-) Lyn
I am always blessed by people trying to find the good things!! Have a great day.
Way to look at the bright side. I did the same today, on NOT moving - LOL! It's hard sometimes to just accept things as they are, but as long as you keep a positive attitude (and keep looking UP), as you know, all will turn out fine.
LOL! I love #13. This is the 1st time I've done one of these, every time I see a TT I think of you bcz you always did them at HSB.
0:) Amber
The pool will be nice I'm sure.
A few years ago we lived in an apartment on the the third floor. It was quite a chore hauling in groceries and there was no AC, but I did feel safe up there.
