What's In Your Bible?
Halfmoon Girl asked what was in our Bible. While I don’t have anything taped to the inside cover, I do have a page that is loose and needs to be taped in. I haven’t done it because I don’t want it to turn yellow. Neither do I want a new Bible. I’ve had this one for years and it’s comfortable and familiar. It tends to be a file cabinet, containing weekly bulletins that really need to be tossed and keepsake snowflakes lovingly cut out by a sweet little girl. I also have a quote tucked in the pages of my Bible. I do not know the author but it is a saying that I frequently need to be reminded of.
We have to keep in mind that the enemy will use carnal and physical things, anything to hurt us, to wound us, but spiritual warfare is spiritual. What I have to do is learn to return fire spiritually.

that's a great quote- thanks for the reminder that victory is found in Jesus, not by our own might.
Two checks that need to be distributed (I am the church treasurer), a letter, a bookmark and probably a bulletin. Some highlighted verses, a few random notes written on the pages. It is less than three years old, but the pages are starting to come out of the binding. I have other Bibles, but this one is my favorite and hopefully can be kept together for years to come.
I am weird because I never use one Bible all the time, so I don't have anything in it. I quit writing in my Bible too, not sure why, it certainly wasn't conviction, but I did...
