Ragtime Close Up and Instructions

Mary aka Canadagirl asked to see a closeup of Hannah's quilt. The instructions say to wash the finished quilt several times to give it a more raggedy effect. Hannah only wanted to wash it once. If you look closely, all the corners do not match perfectly but that is one of the things I liked about this quilt. Perfection wasn't a necessity.
And if she ever gets tired of the raggedy look, the back looks great too!
The instructions are for a 63 x 49 inch throw or a crib sized quilt. We added to that to make a twin sized comforter. Let me know if you make one!

I have never seen a quilt like that before! I love it! And the "forgiving" edges...yup, that is most definitely what I need. I can sew enough to save my life (however possible a situation that would ever be), but it isn't pretty.

Very cool that your daughter made it with your mom's guidance and machine. It is always fun to see certain traits or talents from one generation to the next.

Tell Hannah I love her quilt; I love bright colors too, though you'd never know it if you looked around my very brown house! We're still bakin' here - 102 and the heat index is parked just north of Hades. Hang in there!

I have made a few of these, I love them. They make up so quickly. My favorites were done for the men in my life and they are denim and flannel.

I love the colors hannah chose. They're so bright and cheery.
