News

Remember the substitute job that I have next Monday? It turns out that the teacher is expecting and the principal is looking for a board sub (long term). Board subs are paid double and have all the responsibilities of the regular teacher - lesson plans, faculty meetings, etc. I can certainly use the double payment plus the regular work for six weeks straight. I am going in tomorrow, if I don't have another sub job, to observe the class and see if it's something I am interested in.

My brother Dave went to the emergency room on Friday night. He thought he had appendicitis. The doctors at the ER agreed that was the problem and took him in to surgery. When they opened him up, they found a healthy appendix and a ruptured diverticulum. He is now recovering from surgery with some minor complications. (Is that an oxymoron?) The original word was that they expected him to go home on Tuesday or Wednesday. I do not know if that is still the case. Your prayers are appreciated.

Hi there. I haven't been by in awhile. Sorry about that.

Sounds wonderful about the job opportunity. Will be praying that God will lead the way with that.

Hope your brother heals quickly.

And your brother - poor guy - must've been in so much pain! I hope he recovers quickly.

I just added you to my bloglines, now I can get caught up with you....I just subscribed to it, so I'm new to it.

I'll be praying for Dave. I haven't emailed your mom yet, but it's on my list of things to. Please tell her I said hello.

God Bless,
Amber

How is your brother doing today? I will pray for him.

That IS great news about the teaching job. Something more long term has got to be better than subbing for just a few days.
