Summer Reading Challenge
It’s sad really. Other than my Bible reading, I hardly cracked a book all summer. I started Truth Seeker and Waiting for Summer’s Return but I just did not have time for leisure reading. I did do a lot of listening to Holly read. She read 14 chapter books and over 100 picture books this summer, more than half of them out loud. I hope I’ll read more this fall! The new homeschool year starts tomorrow for Gabe and Hannah and we will start the year off by reading The Last of the Mohicans aloud.

Right now I'm reading the trilogy Black, Red,and White, by Ted Dekker. I'm also reading The Sacred Romance, but I can't remember the author at the moment.
How is Holly's finger???
Actually, I'm making my way through the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson right now. What a great series! We (hubby and I) are also working on a Kay Arthur b.s. on Job, and my non fiction is filled up with h.s. I love reading!
HI Karen!!! I am a genuine reader, but I find that every so often I have seasons of life in which I do not have the opporunity to leisure read. That's part of life and keeping your priorities straight!
That said, Fall Into Reading 2007 is starting on Sept 23. I have a link to it on my blog. Maybe you will get a book read through that time.
I know I find it very difficult to read my items faced with so much Bible and homeschool reading. Why, oh why, can't God gives a few more hours in the day? lol!
Oh I forgot to add that I just finished the Scarlet Letter and am about to start Tarra Road, by Maeve Binchy.
I am reading one of the Beverly Lewis series', as well as the last of the prequels to the Left Behind Series.
I have 'reading seasons' too. I'm currently in one. : )
You could win a book to add to your fall reading challenge ~ please stop by and sign up!
Blessings,
Trish
