Celebration Soup
Each fall we like to celebrate the first day of chilly weather with a hot bowl of soup or chicken and dumplings. So far we haven't had "hot soup" weather yet but we had a celebration of another kind yesterday. My mom and dad came up here for a visit! Hannah made a great pot of Cheeseburger Soup and it was delicious in spite of the fact that it was the AC keeping us cool rather than a crisp autumn breeze.
Thank you so much for your prayers. Tuesday - Thursday were much better days. Far from ideal but more manageable. The principal and those above her are considering moving "D" to another facility. I am heartbroken for him because it's a step in a not so right direction. But he is uncontrollable (he was with the other teacher as well) and I fear for the safety of others.
More good news, we are going out to dinner soon! I haven't been out to eat in a while and we are trying a new to us restaurant tonight. What's your favorite restaurant?

I've made vegetable soup and chili this week. We've never had cheeseburger soup though. I'll have to make it soon.
God bless,

I'm so glad things are better. Amen. Have fun going out. My favorite place is Bone Fish...oh my the food is good.
My favorite restaurant is JV's Taco Shop here in Bay Park in San Diego. Two chicken tacos, rice and beans are the best. Yum!
I have given you an award, do pop on by and see.
Hi Karen,
Wow, it's been about a month since I last stopped by (sigh), I'm so behind. It is sad to hear about such children. I had a child similar to "D" in my Sunday School class for a short period of time, but had to remove him for everyones safety too. I will pray that your time with these children goes well and that you can make a difference.
My favorite restaurant is LeeAnn Chin's, a wonderful Asian restaurant chain here in MN.
How was the new restaurant?
I've already made your Cheeseburger Soup this fall. :-) We had a soup dinner after church a couple of weeks ago and I decided on your recipe. It was, once again, yummy! Sorry to hear about your trials with your sub job. Hope things get better soon.
Restaurants we like:
Firebirds (more expensive night; Short Pump Mall)
McAllisters (southside; for lunch)
CheeburgerCheeburger (for greasy food; Twin Hickory area)
PF Changs and Cheesecake Bistro (at Stony Point, also more expensive)
Enjoy your dinner out!
Mmmm - chicken and dumplings! We have had hot weather too, but today it is rainy and cool so when I get home I will be making potato soup.
Enjoy your dinner out.
Oh Karen,
I am just now able to get over here and I am sorry that you are dealing with such difficulties at school. God will hear your prayers for D no matter where he is. You may be the only one lifting him up. Hang in there, friend.
My favorite place to eat out is Olive Garden. However, I LOVE homemade potato soup when the weather is cool (and it finally is here in Alabama...yay!)
