Teaching in the Lions' Den
A comment from Big Red Driver – “That special needs class will be wild!” Yes, it is. In fact, I think that lion taming would have been an easier job today. Please don’t think I’m exaggerating! I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if today’s behavior from several students causes the teacher to go into labor. She needs to wait until after Monday because that is when she is planning on finishing the long term lesson plans.
It was so nice to arrive home to my wonderful family. Gabe and Hannah did their school work that I assigned them but I had forgotten to make the vocabulary quiz. Did that stop my awesome family? No! John made the quiz for them and they both made 100%! I suppose that I can handle 6 hours in the lions’ den when I know that I can go home to 4 amazing people each day.

Karent how wonderful to have that extra help from your husband. I'm sure you will be a blessing to those children in the class.
It is great to have the support of your hubby, especially when you are going all day at another job!
You are correct! We celebrate Thanksgiving earlier than you because our harvest is earlier than yours- being that we are higher North. No stupid answer there!
Sounds like great team work.
Happy belated birthday to you.
I have been doing some catch-up reading here...You're subbing! How exciting! I didn't realize you were a teacher before. Or maybe I just don't remember reading that tidbit.
Anyway, I'm glad you're getting back in the saddle (though I understand your feet are feeling differently) and hope you enjoy your stint in the Lion's Den. :)
I subbed in my kids' school for awhile last year (never was a real teacher before that...) but eventually realized I just wasn't cut out for that job!
I'm sure you'll be great.
What a sweet hubby and great kids!! And how great it must have felt to know things are going so smoothly while you are away.
PS...thanks for the kind welcome to Eyvonne!
Good thing God gives us everything we need! Sounds like He's going to be pouring out some extra blessings on you.
I was a special ed Para-Professional before my son was born and there were days when I felt like they would push me into labor. It IS very challenging, but very rewarding as well!
I am praying that God would give you a huge heart of compassion for the least of these and the strength to serve them.
