The Decision

"A" and his dad left school yesterday afternoon knowing they would receive the court's decision sometime that day via certified mail. I had no idea if I would see "A" again or if his dad would come by to gather his school supplies. School began this morning, as usual at 7:50 AM. "A" wasn't there. We said the pledge and listened to the morning announcements. I waited. They had been late a time or two before. They didn't show up. It was past time to take the attendance to the office. I wrote his name down as being absent. When I returned from the office, it was time to send the second graders to PE. It was a sad little line of 2 with "D" at his new school and no "A". Ten minutes later the first graders were off to music. That left me, the 2 kindergarteners and their instructional assistant in a strangely quiet classroom. They were all busy working on a project and I thought it would be a good time to begin next week's lesson plans. I didn't get very far when there was a knock at the door. It was "A" and his dad!!! The court had ruled in their favor! Praise the Lord! PRAISE THE LORD!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!

God hears and answers prayer. One day, I will write a book on the many ways He has answered mine. Thank you for praying with me.

Hey Karen!
Great news!
I read every post - I've been so busy this week have hardly had a chance to comment - but know that I never miss an installment of "For Such a Time as Now" :)
Love you too!
