Rainy Day Rambles

I ventured out into the world today and went to church. It was good to see friends again. We came home, had lunch and I took a nap. This afternoon, the after Christmas, post travel and illness clutter began to annoy me and I started cleaning up. I did not get very far when I realized that we were out of coke so Gabe and I made a necessary trip to Target. It's a good and not so good thing that Target is so close to us. It's too easy to run to the store for things, even in the rain. But ice cold coke feels so good on my croaky throat.

It was a cold and rainy day all day but our apartment was snuggly warm. I changed from a sweatshirt to a tee shirt. It's the end of December and we still haven't turned on our heat. Let's see how long we can keep this up!

I'm going to go do some more straightening up and make a cleaning list for tomorrow. Then I just might sit down and do something that I haven't done in months - READ!

Good for you! We have been drowning in a flurry of activity that I am so so happy to have a low key - laid back new years eve planned.

Reading sounds like a great plan. I am totally out of good novels at the moment- and the library is closed for the next couple of days GASP!

Glad you're feeling better. I could sure use some pop right now, too, but we have to save it for our party tomorrow night. It's in the refrigerator right now... aka the front porch. :-)
