The Simple Woman's Daybook
FOR TODAY June 30, 2008...
Hosted by Peggy @ The Simple Woman
Outside My Window... Bright sunshine with storm clouds forming in the distance
I am thinking... I cannot believe tomorrow is July. At this rate, I feel like saying "Merry Christmas"
I am thankful for... the peace of God
From the kitchen... Leftover barbecue for lunch. It's just the girls and I tonight so it's fend for yourself night.
I am wearing...pink capris and a pink top
I am creating... a packing list for summer camp and fall homeschool plans
I am going... nowhere tonight. Gabriel took the car to work so that I wouldn't have to go pick him up. He usually walks to work but when he works past dark, I pick him up.
I am reading...Where Willows Grow by Kim Vogel Sawyer
I am hoping... That those thunderstorms will pass us by
I am hearing... Hannah reading out loud to Holly
Around the house... The overhead florescent light went out. Actually, there was an irritating strobe light-like flicker when we turned it on. The repairman finally came (after 3 days) and installed new bulbs. That was the first time they needed replacing in the year that we've been here.
All three children are required to read 50 pages a day before they are to free to do anything electronic (TV/Computer/Video games). I hate to make them read but they will not choose to. Gabriel and Hannah are reading American Lit books that we did not get to during the "school year".
One of my favorite things... Reading out loud. It's been tough this past year to get everyone together and read consistently. Last night I decided that I would read just to the girls for the summer. We started Little Women.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I mentioned a few plans here. I have also joined the End 08 Great Challenge.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

My oldest daughter read Little Women to my youngest daughter and I last year. I loved it! (I cried and cried though...*sniff*) I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Have a great day!
I can't wait to read more from your blog. The Simple Woman's Daybook entry sounds so much like here.
And...you should try selling on Ebay. It's really fun - and super simple. The hardest or most time consuming is taking the picture.
Thanks for checking out my blog - all new to me!
Thanks so much for joining our challenge! We are really looking forward to spending the next 6 months encouraging and inspiring each other.
I just love your daybook entry. I have thought about doing this meme as I just love to read others posts on it. Your life sounds full and wonderful.

My daughter is going to camp for the first time this year. She is excited but a little nervous/scared, too. (So am I!) ;-)
It sounds like your Summer days are busy!
Blessings,
Michelle
