Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY July 28, 2008...

Hosted by Peggy @ The Simple Woman

Outside My Window... High 80's - not too bad for July.

I am thinking... about going to the dentist because of the tooth that I broke yesterday. Not good thoughts.

I am thankful for... My family

From the kitchen... John fixed me a grilled cheese for lunch but I couldn't eat it

I am wearing... khaki capris and a red top

I am creating... a headache from worrying about my tooth

I am going... to the dentist in just a few minutes

I am reading...Where Willows Grow by Kim Vogel Sawyer & The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck and not getting very far.

I am hoping... That the dentist appointment won't be too painful.

I am hearing... Hannah chop vegetables for a salad and Holly talking to me.

Around the house... We are getting ready for Vacation Bible School next week - gathering and painting decorations.

One of my favorite things... Keeping in touch with old friends.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: More homeschool and Vacation Bible School planning.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Hi, from a neighbor blogger. I, too, live in Virginia, In SW Virginia, and am sorry to hear about your tooth. I know what it is to dread something this week. I'm having my colonoscopy on Thursday. Dont dread that as much as the prep day on Wed. Will definitely be glad when Friday comes! Enough about that! Geee, hope you have a lovely week! Hope you check out my blog !

The Good Earth is one of my favorite books. I put it in my daughters stack to cover before graduation next year.

Your grandmother is a beautiful lady! I also love the quilt behind her ... did she make it?

So okay, I am not the most observant person. If you check your email as often as I do, you already know I commented on both your HSB blogs, lol.
Hope that tooth is better now, and that you have a great dentist like we do. He just did $1200 worth of work on my husband for free. Praise God!

That photo of your Grandmother and her dolls is so sweet! My mother-in-law makes dolls, too. (She calls them Amish rag dolls.) They are very simple, yet beautiful.

I hope your dentist appt. goes well!
