Summer Camp and Final Exams
We leave for camp tomorrow morning. I will be a counselor for the girls and Hannah is going as a junior counselor. I have had several people mention that I am brave to go with the elementary kids. I don't feel that way. Elementary is what I do. I may think differently before the week is up. My fear is the heat. It is forecast to be in the upper 80's, maybe even 90. I am hoping there will be some shade somewhere. Pray for our safety and a cool breeze!
We have been in Virginia for a year now. We came believing that God is leading us this way. We have seen His hand opening doors that we could not and guiding us each step of the way. We've felt the peace that only He can give. Over the months, John has gone through a lengthy application process for a new career. Tuesday, July 8th is the final step - a physical and a psychological exam. Please keep him in your prayers. When I return, I promise to fill you in. Stay tuned. I'll be home on Friday.

Have a wonderful, safe week. I am looking forward to hearing about the new career.
Enjoy your week a camp!
I hope you have a great week this week. I get the elementary kids thing, too.
Can't wait to see what God has done for your family, Karen.
I just took my daughter to camp yesterday. Her counselor said she just finished a week with 7-10 year-olds and was looking forward to the older girls. (It's hard to hear my little girl referred to as "older"!)
Anyway, hope you have a great week!
I will pray for John tomorrow. You have seen God's faithfulness clearly, and I trust He will continue to show it to you.
Praying for all of you and looking forward to hearing the good news!
Have a wonderful time at camp! (We are going in August, and I am so excited!)
Blessings,
Michelle
From your other post the bravery part wasn't the elementary kids but the frogs :)
Good thing you didn't know before...
My hubby recently left youth ministry and changed careers. It's a tough transition, one we're still going through.
