Finally Home
It was with a huge sigh of relief that I exited the school building this afternoon. I am done. I spent 65 days in the classroom. Countless hours of my nights and weekends at home were also dedicated to school work. Now I can relax and focus on my family, my home and homeschool. Maybe even myself. The rest of this week I plan on:
- Sleeping late
- Cleaning my room. There is a shameful pile of summer and winter clothes needing my attention, clutter and dust.
- Organizing coupons
- Planning for Thanksgiving
- Shopping
- Spending time with my family
- Visiting some bloggy friends

To do?? Well...
Tuesday and Wednesday I want to accomplish school. I got behind in my cleaning of our main room. The everything room -- the only room that holds us all - so I cleaned that today.
I need to get the clutter sorted and stowed away...and the laundry done.
and I need to change the fish water..and clean the bathrooms..and and..
I'm going to hush now. :-)
Yeah, Karen!!!!! I'm so glad your sentence...I mean...your tour of duty...I mean...your time at school is over. I hope you have a wonderfully, awesome, restful, catch-up on things you want to do week!
yay! It will be so nice for you to be at home and to get other things accomplished. We have already done our Thanksgiving up here in Canada, so this week is pretty much a normal one. I want to get some more Christmas baking done and get my floors washed!
Congrats! At least you can say you've probably learned some new survival skills. ;) I hope you have a very blessed Thanksgiving.
Amanda
All of the above except for 1 and 2. :)
glad your time at school is finally over!
I completely understand your relief at being done. I taught third grade for years and one year of second grade and the kids cry, fight etc even though they are older. And parents, don't get me started. Ha. I have retired for the second time because I cannot take the long hours and parental attitudes, and I worked in private schools too. Now the only problem is wondering how to survive til social security kicks in if it still is around in 4 years. I tried other things and noone will hire me I suppose since I am either over qualified or underqualified with no experience. Oh my. Blessings.
I have the same things on my todo list as you except no sleeping late around here and I need to add doing a ton of bookwork to my list.
