JenIg is having a fantastic contest that I would love to, need to win. I've won two things recently. Maybe I am on a roll. . .
Rosetta Stone has been the #1 foreign language curriculum among homeschoolers for a while -- next week they are unleashing a brand new curriculum, and you can WIN the *all new* Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3… FOR FREE!
This is a $219 program (and believe me it's worth every penny!) and the winner gets to pick from any of these 14 languages: Spanish (Spain or Latin America), English (American or British), Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Irish, Hebrew, or Russian.
This will also include a headset with microphone, and students will participate in lifelike conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone still incorporates listening, reading and writing as well, in addition to speaking. Many homeschoolers requested grammar and vocabulary exercises, and with Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3, they're included! For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program and allow parents to easily enroll students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, and view and print reports.
To win this most excellent program -- in the language of your choice -- copy these (blue) paragraphs and post it in (or as) your next blog post -- then to enter the contest, go to the original contest page HERE: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/JenIG/501132/ and leave a comment with the link showing where you blogged about it. And please make sure the link works to get back to the original contest page when you post it. And good luck! The winner will be picked randomly on March 26, and will be notified thru the link they left to their blog pg. And if you have more than one blog, you can post them and enter those separately for more chances to win. Yay for free stuff!

You have got to check it out! Everyone, bloggers and non-bloggers alike, are welcome to "put their name in the hat" for literally hundreds of great prizes. You don't have to be giving anything away to participate. These are some scrapbooking stickers that I either have duplicates of or probably won't use in the next year or so. (I am seriously behind in scrapbooking!) If you would like to win this set of stickers, here are the rules:Labels: Bloggy Giveaway, Contests

Another week has gone by. We have been here for nearly 4 weeks. A month’s worth of unpacking and organizing, settling in and making this new place feel like home. I spent a little time on Saturday putting some pictures back into their frames. The frames were shipped on the container and the pictures flew with us on the airplane. It just felt safer to have them with us. Most of them sat on our piano, which we don’t have here so I’ll have to find a new location for them. Others will find an empty spot on the wall.
On Saturday afternoon, I was able to go to a resource fair at a homeschool convention. I would have liked to attend the sessions too but it was $65 for one person and we just couldn’t afford that now. But the resource fair was free and I walked out spending a total of 75 cents. I found two books at the used book sale and some neat resources from the Federal Reserve Bank for FREE! Those will fit in with the economics course that Gabe and Hannah will be doing this fall. Check them out online. ALL of their resources are free.
Later this week, hopefully, I will post some more exciting entries. Some of them just might be:

Full Circle

The dog days of summer are certainly here and it has been hot here in Virginia - high 90's and humid. I can't believe that there are just a few days left in July. It always seems that after the 4th, Christmas comes up in no time. I'll be glad for cooler weather but otherwise, I am looking forward to these last few weeks of summer. I have a few more things to do in our bedroom but otherwise I feel settled. If you have followed my story the last few months, you know what a relief that is for all of us. Gabriel got a job at Chick-fil-A and today he went in for training. He's excited about that.
To add some more excitement to the summer, Rocks in My Dryer is hosting a Bloggy Giveaway. I don't have a clue what I'll do but I thought it would be fun. To find out the details, click the button below. It begins this Monday. I hope to see you there! Come back on Monday to see what I am giving away.

drawings and he’s only 16. One day, he found a twenty dollar bill on the street in front of our house. I don’t think I’ve ever found anything more than a penny. He promptly offered half of it to Hannah. The next week, he won a drawing at the mall for a $50 gift certificate! I believe that it’s more than luck. I believe that God has blessed his generous heart. Last week, he entered Labels: Contests
