Homeschool Memoirs: #15 -A Thankful Heart

I have been truant in participating in the Homeschool Memoirs. Life has been busy. Today I was reading The Homeschool Post and the new assignment was up. I had already worked on this thanksgiving entry and it goes along perfectly. There are a few more than 27 items here. Maybe I can get some extra credit!

Assignment:
This week, you guessed it, is going to be about having a thankful heart! Yes, of course, we should always be thankful for everything we’re blessed with, but it’s not too often we actually sit and ponder what. This week please join me in writing 27 things you’re thankful (There’s got to be at least 27things!). I picked 27 because this year Thanksgiving is on the 27th of November.

Also, share a Scripture verse for this week!

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Finally Home

It was with a huge sigh of relief that I exited the school building this afternoon. I am done. I spent 65 days in the classroom. Countless hours of my nights and weekends at home were also dedicated to school work. Now I can relax and focus on my family, my home and homeschool. Maybe even myself. The rest of this week I plan on:

  • Sleeping late
  • Cleaning my room. There is a shameful pile of summer and winter clothes needing my attention, clutter and dust.
  • Organizing coupons
  • Planning for Thanksgiving
  • Shopping
  • Spending time with my family
  • Visiting some bloggy friends
What's on your to do list?
